SUMMARY:May 21st Dinkel Avenue Corridor Study Public Meeting at Smiley's Ice Cream
DESCRIPTION:The HRPMO Dinkel Avenue and Friedens Church Road Corridor Small Area Study Group is holding a public open house to discuss recommended improvements to the corridor at Smiley’s Ice Cream on May 21st from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. HRMPO is working with consultants Vanhasse Hangen Brustlin (VHB)\, VDOT\, and local jurisdictions to develop the study\, which began in September 2023\, and is scheduled to be complete next month in June 2024. \nThrough feedback from surveys\, interviews\, and projections\, VHB has evaluated existing and potential future traffic congestion along the corridor and has recommended several congestion and safety improvements that consider vehicular\, freight\, and multi-modal needs. \nThis Open House provides an opportunity for the public to review and provide feedback on the draft recommendations before the study is finalized in June 2024. All are welcome to come at any time between 4pm and 6pm. \nPlease check the HRMPO website for future updates about the study\, and please attend the upcoming public meeting.
