VDOT is inviting the public to provide feedback on the FY2024-2029 Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP) for public highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian, and transit transportation projects. Comments will be accepted for new projects valued over $25 million. The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) will consider public comments in June 2023. All federally eligible projects in the SYIP will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to document how Virginia will obligate its federal funds.
The public can attend regional SYIP meetings in-person to provide comment, or submit comments online by May 24, 2023. The Staunton Construction District meeting will take place on May 3rd beginning at 4 p.m., and will be held at Blue Ridge Community College Plecker Center for Continuing Education.
